ABOUT PRODUCT :
These ornate containers, popular in the mid-century, were used to store colorful herbal powders such as makeup and vermilion, the red pigment traditionally worn by married Indian women. They were also used for "Bindis," which are large, colorful dots of cloth placed on the forehead.
The Hamsa, a mythical bird, serves as a spiritual symbol representing perfect balance in life. Its name comes from the Sanskrit sounds 'ham' (exhalation) and 'sa' (inhalation), and the creature is often associated with the swan or goose.
